We Build ROOFERS AND WATERPROOFERS

What You’ll Do on the Jobsite:

• As a Roofer and Waterproofer, you will install new roofs on residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, using a variety of materials such as asphalt shingles, metal panels, and single-ply membranes.
• You will repair and replace damaged roofs, addressing issues like leaks, missing shingles, and weather-related damage to restore the roof's integrity and extend its lifespan.
• You will apply waterproofing materials to foundations, basements, and other structures to prevent water infiltration and protect against moisture-related issues.
• Install flashing and sealing around roof penetrations and edges, ensuring that areas prone to leaks are properly protected and that the roofing system remains watertight.
• Roofers regularly inspect roofs for signs of wear, damage, or potential leaks, performing necessary maintenance to keep roofing systems in optimal condition.
• Knowledge and skill to install properly.

What You’ll Learn in the Apprenticeship Program:

• As Roofer and Waterproofer apprentice, you will learn the fundamentals of installing various types of roofing systems, including shingles, metal roofing, and flat roof membranes, ensuring a solid understanding of the techniques required for different materials.
• You will gain expertise in waterproofing methods, including the application of sealants, membranes, and barriers to protect buildings from water damage and ensure long-lasting durability.
• You will learn how to install flashing around roof penetrations such as chimneys, vents, and skylights, mastering the skills needed to prevent leaks and maintain the integrity of the roofing system.
• You will receive comprehensive safety training focused on working at heights, including the proper use of fall protection gear, scaffolding, and ladders, to ensure a safe working environment.
• You will develop skills in reading construction drawings and planning roofing projects, ensuring you can accurately follow designs and contribute to the successful completion of construction projects.
